Living Waters

The Word of The Lord is powerful. It gives revelation knowledge and healing for the Spirit, Mind and Body. It is sharper than any two-edge sword. It is refreshing, cleansing and life teaching. Water is symbolic of the Word. If we drink of His Word, we shall never thirst. Next to oxygen, water is the most essential element to human life; the body usually cannot survive longer than several days without water (a maximum of 1 week). Water is essential to the functioning of every single cell and organ system in the human body. Our brain is made up of 75% water. If the Word is symbolic of water, than we need to drink more of it in order to survive. If we are not drinking enough water, than our mind is dehydrated; starving for increased knowledge, wisdom and revelation. Our brains depend on proper hydration to function optimally. Brain cells require a delicate balance between water and various elements to operate. When you lose too much water, the balance is disrupted. Your brain cells lose efficiency. Dehydration can impair short-term memory function and recall of long-term memory. John 4:14, “Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well springing up to eternal."

 

 

 

 

Patience in Suffering

James 5:7-11, NIV, "Be patient , then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy." 

Refreshing Streams

As I sit looking over the horizon at the river from Hoover Dam, I can see the beauty and splendor of  God. The waters flowing downstream giving a calming peace. There is stillness and quietness all round me. The sun is beaming down on the river and glowing off the water. The clouds in the sky is clear blue. God is smiling down upon me. There is a healing taking place as I sit by the river and gaze at Gods marvelous beauty. There is an overwhelming joy and peace stirring up inside of me. Psalms 29:3-4, "The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of Glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic" I marvel at nature and how God can create something so beautiful. God speaks to me in His quiet place. The wind is so refreshing and I can hear Gods voice loud and clear. I bask in His presence. The air I breath is Gods breath of life. Lord thank you for your creation! I will forever worship you.
